Cleaning Makeup Brushes

For a good makeup finish and not collecting bacteria that will end up on your face, eyes or mouth, the brushes must be clean. Here’s a homemade brush cleanser that doesn’t damage the brushes. You’ll need:

  • 1/2 cup shampoo (better if it is baby shampoo)
  • 1/2 cup conditioner
  • 1 cup water
  • Empty perfume bottle

Mix all te ingredients in the perfume bottle and,  after a couple of uses (because cleaning them every day can weaken the glue that holds the bristles and they will start pulling off) you spray the cleanser over the brushes and rub them over a tissue paper so you take every rest of makeup off them and then rinse them with a little of water.

Tip: you shouldn’t wet more than your bristles because the water also weakens the glue.

Tip 2: you can create your own cleansing matt with a piece of plastic and a hot glue  gun. Just create the different patterns on the piece of plastic with the glue and let dry
